MVP notice

MoveChecklist is currently an MVP. This privacy page describes the basics of what we collect and why. It will be reviewed and expanded before full commercial launch and may change.

What we may collect

• Questionnaire answers and move details you enter (move date, property type, bedrooms, whether you have pets or children, country, etc.).
• The email address you provide at checkout.
• Payment session details from Stripe (such as the checkout session ID, payment status, amount, and currency).
• The download token issued for your purchase and how many times your download link has been used.
• Basic technical and log data needed to run the site and prevent abuse.

Why we collect it

• To generate your personalised checklist and PDF.
• To process your payment and deliver the printable PDF.
• To provide your download link and let you re-download.
• To prevent fraud and detect abuse of the download system.
• To respond if you contact us for support.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are not stored by MoveChecklist.

Where data is stored

Before purchase, your answers and any preview tick-offs are kept only in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not send them to any server until you check out.

After purchase, we store your questionnaire answers and purchase record on our backend (including email, Stripe payment reference, purchase status, download token, timestamps, and basic download activity). This is needed to deliver your receipt, provide your download/recovery link, and process refunds. Your checked-off preview state is not stored server-side.

We do not store the finished PDF file itself. It is generated from your saved answers each time you use your download link. Please save the PDF to your own device for safekeeping.
